Kevin Contreras's mediums of choice had came down to three: oil, charcoal, and graphite.
Born in 1994 in Texas, he has been interested in both the creative arts and technology ever since he was a child. Working on his technical craft and conceptual vision since 2011, Contreras has been actively investigating his artwork and how it fits within the scope of the contemporary art scene for six years. His work currently explores the idea of the negative human condition in the digital age through the abstraction of the human figure. Contreras completed his B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing at the University of North Texas in 2017 and completed his A.A. in South Plains College in 2015.
He is now currently working and residing in Plano, Texas.
